About Me

I was born and raised in Morgan County, West Virginia. I have always wanted to be a teacher and my dream was to return to Pleasant View Elementary where I went to school. I graduated from Shepherd University with my degree in Elementary Education in 2013. I taught second grade for two years in Jefferson County before I accepted the job at Pleasant View in 2015. I taught one year at Widmyer in town but the rest have been at Pleasant View. I had my son, Charlie, in 2016 and he is now a first grader here at Pleasant View.

We live just a few miles from Pleasant View with our menagerie of animals. We currently have 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 turtles, a leopard gecko, and a bearded dragon. We also share a bearded dragon with the school as a class pet!

Meet Roady!

In 2022 I received a grant from PetSmart to get a class pet. After introducing my own pets to the class, they really enjoyed my bearded dragon Charizard so I decided to get one for our classroom. We named him Roady (short for Roadrunner) and he is our smallest kindergartener!
