Mrs. Sheima and Mrs. Waugh's students worked on sharing, kindness, and positive actions during a collaborative game of Jenga!
Mrs. Roling’s class has been learning about the importance of kindness and community service. As part of this lesson, students worked diligently to create a Christmas decoration for each resident at a local nursing home.

Morgan County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Huber as the new Director of Student Support Services. Ms. Huber, currently serving as Principal of Warm Springs Intermediate School, will begin her new role effective July 1, 2025.
With a strong background in educational leadership and student advocacy, Rebecca Huber brings valuable experience and dedication to her new position. As Principal at Warm Springs Intermediate School, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment while also improving student achievement each year during her tenure.
As Director of Student Support Services, Ms. Huber will oversee programs designed to enhance student well-being, including counseling, social work, and special education. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that every student in Morgan County Schools receives the support necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Morgan County Schools Superintendent David Banks expressed enthusiasm about the appointment: “We are confident that Rebecca’s expertise and passion for student success will greatly benefit our district. Her proven leadership and compassionate approach align perfectly with our mission of Every Child, Every Day.”
Ms. Huber stated, “I am honored to take on this new role and look forward to collaborating with staff, families, and the community to provide the best possible support for our students.”

My favorite thing about school is: Reading!
Reading opens up a world of adventure, imagination, and learning. Every school day is a chance to discover new stories and build strong reading skills. Attending regularly helps young readers grow and succeed—one book at a time!
The West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office (WVSTO) announced the Fund the Future Sweepstakes on April 1, 2025. One lucky West Virginia child will win a $15,000 SMART529 College Savings account. We had another delicious cooking adventure!! Our community partners are growing as fast as our knowledge in the kitchen. Thank you to Tina Badley, for teaching us about Omega3s and how to cook salmon, and to Food Lion for sponsoring our classes and feeding our families. We were joined by another amazing group of parents and staff and look forward to our next cooking night together.
