Morgan County Schools Science Fair will be held at Berkeley Springs High School on January 9, 2027, with a snow date of January 16. Project set up begins at 8:00 AM. Contact your child's school for their fair date.

Students who participate in the Science Fair learn more than how to conduct a science experiment. Science fair projects provide opportunities for students to develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills as they ask questions, conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Through the scientific process, students learn persistence and adaptability when procedures do not go as planned and must be revised or refined.

In addition, students strengthen their communication and presentation skills as they share their findings with others, respond to questions, and explain the scientific reasoning behind their work. The process also encourages creativity, collaboration, organization, and time management, while helping students learn how to give and receive constructive feedback. When projects are judged, students further refine their ability to clearly communicate scientific concepts, defend their conclusions with evidence, and apply scientific principles in meaningful ways.
