Morgan County Schools Social Studies Fair will be held at Warm Springs Middle School on February 13, 2027, with a snow date of January 20. Project set up begins at 8:00 AM. Contact your child's school for their fair date.
Students who participate in the Social Studies Fair learn far more than historical content alone. Fair projects provide opportunities for students to develop research and critical-thinking skills as they investigate historical events, cultures, geographic issues, or civic topics. Students learn to analyze sources, organize information, draw conclusions, and make connections between the past and present.
In addition, students strengthen their communication and presentation skills as they share their findings with others, respond to questions, and explain the significance of their topics. The process also encourages creativity, collaboration, and time management. When projects are judged, students further refine their ability to clearly communicate historical concepts and defend their interpretations using evidence and supporting details.
