Art 1 classes at BSHS had a guest presentation today by Hiroko Rubin. Hiroko visited Ms. Didawick's classes to teach students how to write Japanese Calligraphy. Each student practiced using Japanese brushes, controlling the ink, making strokes, and writing characters. The final product was to write Cherry Blossom in Japanese Kanji characters along with their names These will be all be displayed at the MAC's Cherry Blossom Festival at the Ice House on April 29th.
Hiroko will continue her teaching of Japanese Calligraphy next week with Ms. Wilder's art classes.

Art 2 students are at again! This time students in Ms. Didawick's class learned about the Pop Art style of the 50's and 60's. Each student chose a comic that featured a character face and used a grid enlargement technique to create a proportional enlargement. After the enlargement was drawn, they painted the image using acrylics. These are currently displayed at BSHS in building A.
