School COVID-19 Data for the week of February 10-17, 2022

Tonight, the Morgan County Board of Education voted 5-0 to make masks optional for students and staff effective on February 16, 2022. An updated guidance document will be released soon. We would like to offer a sincere thank you to our families and staff for their patience and understanding. Your cooperation has been vital to keeping our schools open and our students in school. We look forward to continuing to partner with you as we move ahead.

Local transmission of COVID-19 remains at the HIGH level, therefore masks will be required indoors and on buses next week, February 14 through February 18.

As part of National School Counselor week, help us thank counselor, Tina Stickley at Paw Paw Schools, WV School counseling programs help to increase student achievement and provide a much-needed resource for students, parents, teachers and administrators. School counselors are integral to student success.

Paw Paw Schools will not be serving first chance breakfast this morning, instead will be serving a second chance breakfast after first period.

This is a reminder that school make-up pictures, sports pictures, club pictures, and band pictures will take place tomorrow, Thursday, January 27th.

School picture make up day and school sports, clubs, and band pictures will take place on Thursday, January 27 starting at 9:00 AM.

Due to the timing of the winter weather and the temperatures tomorrow morning, Morgan County Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay for Thursday, January 20. We will continue to monitor conditions and evaluate roads in the morning. Employees will follow reporting code D. As of now, all schools will be open for in-person learning on a 2-hour delay schedule.

Good evening, The Paw Paw High School PBIS reward trip scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 is now canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Morgan County Schools will close for in-person learning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18. This will be Non-Traditional Instructional Day #2. Students should follow instructions as given by their teachers. Employees will follow reporting code A.

As a reminder, there is NO School on Monday, January 17 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Due to a Potomac Edison planned power outage on Thursday, January 13, 2022, Paw Paw Schools will operate on Remote Learning. Teachers will be sending home work with students on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

This is a two-part message: Part 1: Due to the potential for a refreeze on the wet roads and the forecast for low temperatures, Morgan County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for Monday, January 10. Employees follow reporting code D. Part 2: This is for Berkeley Springs High School ONLY. Berkeley Springs High School will operate on remote learning tomorrow, Monday, January 10 due to lack of staffing. Students should look for messages from teachers on Schoology. Please call during school hours with any questions. All available staff will report on a two-hour delay.
