We're so excited to share this community support adventure with you. Our Communities In Schools Site Coordinator, the CIS Site Coordinators in the rest of the county, our bus drivers, social workers, community partners, Berkeley Springs Food Lion, and so many more gracious staff members are teaming up to bring you 'Stuff A Bus' from August 28th to September 1st, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, to collect BASIC NEEDS items. ‘Stuff A Bus’ hopes to collect enough items so that EVERY MoCo student can have a clean, fresh and full start to their mornings. We are looking for soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, underwear and other hygiene products that many may go without, along with self-serve healthy snacks such as tuna packets, peanut butter crackers, easy mac, applesauce cups, etc. Please reach out to Sherrie Byrd, at 304-258-2024, if you would like to volunteer for this collaborative effort.

As we prepare for the opening of school, it is important that we have all documentation on file. For Kindergarten students and new enrollments, please make sure that we have up to date immunizations and legal documents. Our secretary will be available July 25, 8:30-2:00 to assist you. Additionally, there is drop box by the main doors for after hours delivery. All immunizations must be in prior to the start of school. Missing immunizations will prevent your child from starting school on August 22. Thank you.

Your child may wear a bathing suit tomorrow; however, they will need to wear a shirt also. If they do not have a change of clothes, he or she will not be able to participate in the water activities. Another learning adventure in the books!! Camp Read-a-lot was a fun-filled journey through outdoor education and so much s'more. Thank you to Ms. Waugh for pitching this idea! We had so many wonderful parents volunteer their time to join us in teaching, cooking, crafting, etc. We broke out our new grill, courtesy of City National Bank, and were able to share camp themed food with all of our staff and volunteers. Our official Widmyer Author/Illustrator Ashley Belote came back to visit us again and brought her book 'The Me Tree." All in all it was a pretty great camping trip. Thanks to all who came along!!
