Tonight, the Morgan County Board of Education voted 5-0 to make masks optional for students and staff effective on February 16, 2022. An updated guidance document will be released soon. We would like to offer a sincere thank you to our families and staff for their patience and understanding. Your cooperation has been vital to keeping our schools open and our students in school. We look forward to continuing to partner with you as we move ahead.

Local transmission of COVID-19 remains at the HIGH level, therefore masks will be required indoors and on buses next week, February 14 through February 18.

As a reminder, there will be a Financial Aid Workshop, in the Media Center, Thursday evening during Parent/Teacher Conference from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. This is an opportunity for parents/students to complete the FAFSA with assistance from BRCTC. FAFSA applications are due March 1st in order to receive the maximum amount of financial aid. Message a School Counselor with any questions.

ACT has closed our BSHS test center for the February 12, 2022 administration due to low participation. Students should log into their ACT accounts to check for their new testing location.

Congratulations to Matthew Leasure, Ben Rogers, Rebecca Moran, Steven Maconaughey, and Trinity Anderson who received a $1,000 scholarship to Shepherd University for their 1st place finish at the Academic Showdown. They will represent BSHS in the state finals on March 25.
