Please excuse my delay in getting this out... It's been A WEEK am I right?! Seriously though, I'm going to try to name everyone by name and give thanks, but if I miss something please know your help did not go unappreciated I'm just still frazzled and forgetful!
Starting with Dawn Day thank you so much for the countless dollars, fundraiser forms, questions, last minute panic calming, and keeping me in line! You are a star before I even started the year. Thank you to admin... for approving every chaotic idea, Dr. Kursey for handling guest forms, and allowing us to cause total chaos for a full week and giving me the facilities to do things.
Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday: thank you to the class advisors: Holli McCumbee, Susan Youngblood, Emily Wardropper, & Gary Wachter. You showed up on Sunday, got those hallways looking great (especially when some of you had to audible and decorate a space you hadn't planned). Those floats on Wednesday were some of my favorites so far, and Friday it was an EARLY morning decorating those bleachers, but the kids had a blast and they looked great. Thanks for all you do all the time but especially giving up your free time to do the extra mostest (I know I teach English) to help these kids make memories! I couldn't do this without you!
Through the week! Thank you to all the teachers and Echo for being patient with attendance and counting during homerooms. I know it wasn't ideal, but I appreciate the leniency. Boosters for sponsoring the amazing bonfire and taking something off my plate!
All the teachers who allowed students to leave class on Friday for decorating. Mr. Myers for hanging the hoop and disco ball as always your efforts are genuinely appreciated because I would surely be lost trying to accomplish that.
Saturday: the chaperones for the dance... Sam Perry, Rhi Breeden, Stacy Wilhelm, Cletus Watts (Collette Todd), Mitch Nida, Chad Strimel, Brooks Kursey, Samantha Pearce, Susan Youngblood, & Elizabeth Letrent. Seriously thank you endlessly for giving up a Saturday night!
Parents who are truly angels: Justin Litten, Amy Litten, Carolyn Stotler, Heather Baxter, thank you for spending a Saturday night bumping tunes, popping corn, spinning sugar, and slinging ice for these kiddos! They were so thankful and everything was amazing.
Thank you to Amanda Miller and Ally Maconaughey for the photos! As always everything was wonderful! - I'm so glad that backdrop came in!
Sunday Clean up: shout out to my HOCO committee of kiddos who cleaned everything, bagged it, organized, and reset completely in under 90 minutes! We're getting better each year.
Another huge shout out to parents Carolyn Stotler and Mandi Michael for helping clean up!
Thank you in the huge part to my lunch bunch and ELA dept: Susan, Emily, Elizabeth, Chuck, and Amy. Without you guys keeping me on track I would have failed miserably as a teacher that week. I didn't know what day it was most days.
Finally last, but most certainly not least thank you to Samantha Pearce. You were truly my rock. you made sure I crossed every T and dotted every I. You ran to get flowers, you decorates, tore down, you stepped in as a class advisor for Emily, and were my mental health when I wasn't sure where I was! thank you for helping me, but mostly for being my yes friend and never thinking twice when I say, "Hey, so I have this crazy idea!"
Mark your calendars. HOCO will be either the 22nd or 29th of October next year (hopefully the 22nd)! I can't wait to do it again!

IT IS TIME TO SHOP! The BSHS Spirit Wear Store (ONLINE) is open from October 6 to October 15 (https://bsnteamsports.com/shop/aajwkMRedV). This store is for everyone - current/upcoming students, community members, family members, and former BSHS graduates! We have youth, women's, and men's clothing/sizing along with blankets, cornhole boards, phone cases, slides, and water bottles. Grab some gear and represent your local high school! BSN will be giving back a portion of the proceeds to BSHS. Please keep in mind that orders are not processed and shipped until after the store closes (average process/delivery is 4-5 weeks).
