Students, please remember to bring your Chromebooks back to school tomorrow, Monday, February 2. These devices were sent home for last week’s snow days, and it is critical that every student returns with their Chromebook fully charged and ready for use.
Warm Springs Middle School has a very limited number of loaner devices, and we cannot guarantee availability for students who forget to bring their Chromebook.
Thank you for your cooperation and responsibility in ensuring learning continues smoothly tomorrow.

The 6th Grade Honors Math students in Mrs. Stotler’s class recently completed an Integer Timeline project in which they selected five events that occurred before they were born and five events that occurred after they were born, allowing them to apply and deepen their understanding of integers in a meaningful real‑world context. This activity aligns directly with the West Virginia College‑ and Career‑Readiness Math Standards for Grade 6, which require students to use positive and negative numbers together to describe quantities and to understand the ordering and absolute values of positive and negative numbers, including representing them on number lines and comparing their positions. Through Instructional Empowerment strategies, students engaged in student‑centered learning by choosing personally significant events, participated in academic discourse to explain the placement of events on the timeline, and strengthened conceptual understanding through visible thinking routines that required them to justify their reasoning. This combination of standards‑aligned instruction and empowerment strategies supported deeper mathematical thinking, real‑world application, and meaningful engagement with the number system.
Mrs. Cockrell's 6th Grade Science classes were all in with Oreo Moon Phases.
