With state testing just around the corner, take a look at these valuable tips that can help guide your preparation. Remember, being well-prepared is key to success!
We will begin state testing with the Reading exam on May 7 and Math on May 9 for all students in grades 6-8. Please be sure your child gets plenty of rest, eats a balanced breakfast, and arrives to school on time on Tuesday, May 7.

There will be WSMS girls volleyball flex practice from 3-5pm on May 6 and May 13 at the WSMS gym. Any girl interested currently in grades 5, 6, or 7 is welcome to attend. There will be a brief parent meeting after each practice. Parents only need to attend the meeting once.

Warm Springs Middle School presents the 2024 7th & 8th Grade Spring Formal on Saturday, April 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the WSMS Gym. Theme is Tangled! Semi-formal dress and dress code appropriate. Any questions on that see admin. 7th & 8th Grade criteria to attend is based on 3rd 9 weeks and current 4th 9 weeks. This is 0 F's, 0 referrals, and less than 5 days of absences. Any academic, attendance, or behavior issues week of the formal will disqualify students from attending. This formal is for WSMS 7th & 8th grade students only and no outside guests. There will be appetizers and drinks available for the students to enjoy. Tickets will be sold on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26 during 0 period and at lunch time. Students will need ticket to get into the formal. Ticket cost is $10 individual and $15 couple. Any questions contact Mr. Harris.

Good afternoon this is a reminder that the WSMS Scholastic Book Fair starts this week. Students will have the opportunity to come down and purchase items if they want during classes.
Ms. Romo's 7th grade Science classes were joined by Mrs. Smalley, a WVU Extension agent. The class revisited an activity that they previously performed last year with her. The lesson included a board game and the students were able to identify changes they requested last year.

The Morgan County Extension Office is collecting used eclipse glasses to send to Astronomers without Borders to use in other countries. If you still have your glasses and do not want them, please return them to WSMS.
Congratulations to Jordan Unger, BSHS, and Abigail Close, WSMS for a great showing at the WV State Social Studies Fair held at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on April 10. Jordan received 3rd place for his Division III World History project, History of Wrestling. Abigail received 3rd place for her Division II State & Local Studies project, Wild and Wonderful: The New River Gorge Bridge.
