Dear Parent/Guardian:
As part of our ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen career exploration opportunities for West Virginia middle school students, your child’s school will be participating in a Career Exploration Landscape Survey. This initiative is supported by the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) in partnership with The EdVenture Group.
The survey is designed to gather feedback from students in grades 6 through 8 to help us better understand how students across the state are learning about different careers and planning for their futures. The results will help guide future programs and resources that support career exploration for all West Virginia students.
Participation Details:
• The survey will be conducted during the school day.
• It will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
• All responses will be kept confidential and reported only in group form.
• No personal or identifying information will be shared.
This is a passive consent activity, meaning your child will participate unless you choose to opt out. If you do not wish for your child to take part in this survey, please contact your child’s school (Warm Springs Middle School) by Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to let them know. Call the front office at (304) 258-1500.
Thank you for your support as we work together to enhance meaningful career exploration opportunities for all students across West Virginia.
Sincerely,
Jamie Harris

Each month, we honor students who exemplify the Character Trait of the Month through their actions, words, and leadership. These students are living proof of the power of connection, empathy, and integrity — the heart of our Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) culture.
As a 2x National Showcase School, Warm Springs Middle is proud to use CKH to build strong relationships, foster emotional safety, and create a learning environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. CKH isn’t just a program — it’s a way of life that transforms classrooms into communities.
“If you have a child’s heart, you have a child’s mind.” – Flip Flippen
Congratulations to our outstanding Students of the Month! Your character shines bright, and you inspire us all. 💙
