Warm Springs Middle

Today members of WSMS Jr. National Honor Society and the FFA took part in Wolf Pack Clean Up around the WSMS campus for the Day of Caring.

Another great project we are about to embark on at Warm Springs Middle School. The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF) is pleased to award a $5,000 Preissler Grant to Warm Springs Middle School for the Wolves in the Wild: Exploring Nature through Outdoor Classrooms and Eco-Art project as described in the application.

What a day for volleyball, as we hosted the Fear the Pack Invitational with WSMS, Paw Paw, East Hardy, and Moorefield. The Lady Wolves finished third overall and Carolyn Close and Rhylee Griffith were named to the All Tournament Team.

Congratulations to our Wolves cross country team for their performances yesterday at Sam Michael Park against seven other teams. For the Lady Wolves, 7th grade Brooke Miller took first place with a time of 13:42. Sixth grader Henley Forney turned in a strong performance with an 8th place finish with a time of 14:56. Rhylee Yost (10th place, 15:14), Ellie Rosensteel (17th, 15:40), McKenna Seville (23rd, 16:73), Korie Avery (40th, 20:28), Candace Sealey (45th, 22:38) rounded out the finishes. On the boy's side Eli Sealey (16th, 14:09), Alex Cain (54th, 21:14), & Julian Hopkins (55th, 21:22) ran well.

WSMS XC Conditioning July 7 - 11 July 14 - 18 July 21- 25 July 28 - 31 Aug 1, 4-8 Conditioning Camp is held at the high school course at Cacapon State Park. Meet at the upper golf course parking lot at 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Need good running shoes, loose clothing and plenty of water.
