Picture form and back drop for the 2023 Spring Formal. Please make sure your student brings the form in to the dance if they want pictures done. We will have copies in main office if a student needs one.
Spring formal tickets will go on sale this week during 7th & 8th grade lunch shifts. They are $10 per student. Spring formal is this coming Saturday, April 29 at WSMS from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Remember for students to be eligible for the Spring Formal they must meet the following criteria.
0 F's (1st, 2nd, 3rd , and current 4th 9 weeks)
0 out of school suspensions
Less than 5 days unexcused absences
No referrals with consequences if any type after the spring break.
No missing assignments for any class after the spring break.

Mrs. Stotler's 6th grade math classes engaged in Educational Minecraft today.

Art Club students are spreading a little kindness today.
The 6th grade Science team worked together with Cindy Smalley to engineer rockets! They took them outside the next week and tested them out. They measured distance with 3 trial runs and discovered how to stay within their budgets to modify them.
The 6th grade Science team came together to engineer a structure that could withstand the Cockrell earthquake (as they renamed it today 😂). The students learned how to budget expenses, create blueprints, follow directions, expand ideas and creativity, work as a team, and when things didn't go the way they imagined, they rebuilt!

Today WSMS was privileged to host Rachel's Challenge and the story of Rachel Joy Scott a young victim of Columbine High School.
Our presenter Chris Mowery did an amazing job and our students were fantastic.
This journey taught us all about the true value of being kind.
To make great things happen you have to have some great help.

WSMS 8th graders getting valuable learning experience in the James Rumsey mobile lab today.
There will be a spring formal for WSMS 7th & 8th grade students on Saturday, April 25. More information including criteria to attend, ticket cost, and time will come out tomorrow.
The 6th grade Science team engineered amusement parks. They created the layout, pamphlets, and will bring it to life next week with animations through Canva! Their creativity is amazing! Awesome work!
