Berkeley Springs High School is proud to recognize Lauren Mahoney as our 2026 Teacher of the Year!
Ms. Mahoney teaches AP Pre-Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Algebra II, where she challenges and supports students at the highest levels. She plays a key role in preparing our juniors for the SAT state summative assessment and consistently demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and student success.
In addition to her impact in the classroom, Ms. Mahoney serves as our Math Department Team Leader and organizes our annual Math Field Day, providing meaningful opportunities for students to engage and excel in mathematics.
We are grateful for her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to our students each and every day.

Congratulations to Abigail Close, our 1st Place winner in Plant Sciences at the Regional Science Fair!
With this outstanding achievement, Abigail has earned the opportunity to advance to the West Virginia Science and Engineering Fair (WVSEF) on March 9, 2026, held at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center in Charleston, WV.
