Morgan County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Huber as the new Director of Student Support Services. Ms. Huber, currently serving as Principal of Warm Springs Intermediate School, will begin her new role effective July 1, 2025.
With a strong background in educational leadership and student advocacy, Rebecca Huber brings valuable experience and dedication to her new position. As Principal at Warm Springs Intermediate School, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment while also improving student achievement each year during her tenure.
As Director of Student Support Services, Ms. Huber will oversee programs designed to enhance student well-being, including counseling, social work, and special education. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that every student in Morgan County Schools receives the support necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Morgan County Schools Superintendent David Banks expressed enthusiasm about the appointment: “We are confident that Rebecca’s expertise and passion for student success will greatly benefit our district. Her proven leadership and compassionate approach align perfectly with our mission of Every Child, Every Day.”
Ms. Huber stated, “I am honored to take on this new role and look forward to collaborating with staff, families, and the community to provide the best possible support for our students.”

Warm Springs Middle School is preparing to tee off for an exciting season ahead with flex practice sessions open to all prospective golfers that will be in grades 6-8 next school year. The team invites students interested in joining the middle school golf squad to participate in upcoming sessions at Cacapon Resort State Park Golf Course.
On Wednesday, June 4, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, aspiring golfers can hit the greens and get a feel for the course under the guidance of seasoned coaches. This session promises to be an excellent opportunity for students to hone their skills and familiarize themselves with the challenges of the course.
Following this, on Thursday, June 5, the Berkeley Springs High School golf team will host another flex practice session, this time from 4:00 to 5:30 PM, at the Cacapon Resort State Park Golf Course. This session is specifically tailored for those interested in playing golf at Berkeley Springs High School in the upcoming academic year.
Coach Dale McCumbee encourages all interested students to attend these sessions, emphasizing the importance of preparation and dedication in achieving success both on and off the course. These practices will provide invaluable experience and help prospective team members gauge their interest and commitment to the sport.
