Students from all over West Virginia competed in the WV State Social Studies Fair at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on Monday, April 28. Of the nine Morgan County Schools students who presented, eight received top honors. In Division II, Isaiah Clegg received 2nd place for his Geography group project (with TJ Ginevan), “The Geographic Effect of the Black Plague,” and Rylan McCusker and Ethan Stewart received 2nd place for their U.S. History group project, “Disney Pins.” In Division III, Corali Johnson and Kendall Risinger received 3rd place for their Economics group project, “Debt, Dollars, and Decisions”; Joshua Lucas received 3rd place for his Geography project, “Life Between the Ridges”; and Rhaina Botticher and Alexander Sage received 2nd place for their Special Topic: American 250 group project, “Alexander Hamilton vs. Thomas Jefferson.” Congratulations, students!
