At last night's board meeting, we recognized Junior Joselyn Smith from PPHS for her contributions to her community. She organized an event to beautify the town of Paw Paw by gathering volunteers to paint a mural on a wall at the corner of Winchester and River Street. She also helped create a garden just above the mural.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Mr. Scott Lykins to Morgan County Schools as the new principal of Warm Springs Intermediate School. Scott will be stepping into this role following Mrs. Rebecca Huber’s transition to her new position as Director of Student Support Services. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Huber for her dedicated leadership and service to WSIS and congratulate her on this exciting next chapter.

Mr. Lykins brings with him a wealth of expertise in curriculum and instruction as well as a strong background in social-emotional learning. His previous experience as a teacher in Morgan County and current experience as an assistant principal have prepared him for this extremely important role. His leadership is grounded in a student-centered approach with a clear focus on fostering both academic achievement and the emotional well-being of every child. Scott’s dedication to creating a positive and inclusive school culture makes him a valuable addition to our school community.

We are confident that Mr. Lykins’ passion for education and commitment to excellence will continue to support and enhance the outstanding work already happening at Warm Springs Intermediate School. Please join us in giving him a warm Morgan County welcome.
