Calendar Update: Friday, April 15 was previously scheduled to be an early dismissal. It will now be a non-traditional instructional day. Students will not attend school in person that day but instead be engaged as directed by their teachers. Staff will report to work.

Congratulations to Paige Waugh and Maya Souders, WSIS, who won first place in the Division I U.S. History group category at the Regional Social Studies Fair held at Musselman High School on March 19. Paige and Maya will be presenting their project, Helen Keller, at the State Social Studies Fair in Charleston on April 29.

All current 6th grade students entering 7th grade in Fall 2022:
• Must have one dose of the Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) vaccine
• Must have one dose of the MCV (Meningococcal) vaccine
• Turn in copy/proof of required vaccines to your child’s school by August 15th, 2022
• Health Check/ Physical exam (completed within prior 12 calendar months)
• Dental exam (completed within prior 12 calendar months)
• Turn in documentation of Health Check and dental exam to your child’s school prior to the first day of school for students, August 2022

Tonight, the Morgan County Board of Education voted 5-0 to make masks optional for students and staff effective on February 16, 2022. An updated guidance document will be released soon. We would like to offer a sincere thank you to our families and staff for their patience and understanding. Your cooperation has been vital to keeping our schools open and our students in school. We look forward to continuing to partner with you as we move ahead.

Local transmission of COVID-19 remains at the HIGH level, therefore masks will be required indoors and on buses next week, February 14 through February 18.
