Mrs. Harrington's Craft Club was back in action today with some neat projects.
The WSMS Builders Club building 2 planter boxes today for the greenhouse. The first box Mr. Harris helped the students. Second one was all student led.
Warm Springs Middle School PE classes working on golf skills and Riding for Life biking.
Please disregard the previous message about tomorrow's Jr. National Honor Society induction ceremony for those selected 7th & 8th grade students. We will now hold this ceremony next Monday evening at 5:00 PM at the WSMS gym. This will give parents and guardians plenty of notice to attend and also allow the advisors to meet with the kids tomorrow to discuss the ceremony. Again we apologize for the miscommunication and hopes that this will extended time will allow all to participate.

Just a reminder that the Warm Springs Middle School Book Fair will be open after school today and tomorrow from 3:30-5:30 PM. The fair is located in the library and visitors can come in through the main entrance.

The West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office (WVSTO) announced the Fund the Future Sweepstakes on April 1, 2025. One lucky West Virginia child will win a $15,000 SMART529 College Savings account. Children must be 17 years of age or younger to enter. Deadline is Friday, May 16, 2025. The entry form and official sweepstakes rules can be found at www.wvtreasury.gov/fundthefuture.
This month's Capturing Kids Hearts theme is Perseverance.
What is Perseverance?
Perseverance is the willingness and ability to keep going when things are tough. People who persevere show steadfastness and give the extra effort needed to do something despite how hard it is or how long it takes to reach the goal.
Why focus on Perseverance?
Perseverance encourages positive self-talk and thinking. When faced with difficult tasks, perseverance helps students reframe with positive thoughts, such as: "I'm not good at this YET!"
Perseverance develops empathy. Students gain a better understanding of who they are and develop more empathy and compassion for others who may struggle to reach a goal.
Perseverance sparks personal growth. Pushing through complex tasks builds resilience and helps students discover how capable they are.
